Isme meri Kahani hai how I loved SWATCH brand par because I could not afford it then, so kabhi li nahi and why I want to buy one for my kids, even if they may not need one

Aajkal ki zindagi mein hum sab bas BHAAG hi rahe hai and hum Bhool hi gaye hai ki hum kya kar rahe hai, Kyu kar rahe hai and humara zindagi ka actual maqsad kya hai. I can talk on this for hours, par here I just talk on how You need to take the right step.

1.SWATCH was always under my WATCH

Ek Kahani apne Youth ki sunata hu.

Humara ghar gaffar market ke bahut paas hota tha. Week mein ek baar to chakkar lag hi jaata tha. Gaffar market for me was like a “Kid in a candy store”. Wahaan jo Milta tha, mujhe sab hi chahiye hota tha.

To those who don’t know what the Gaffar market is, it’s a Rectangular market in Karol Bagh spread over 5 Lanes. Wahaan 100’s of shops hai, and they sell Watches, Sneakers, Stationery, Clothes, Candies, and Toys—all that a 16-year-old would be fascinated by. Upar se zyada maal was Imported. Mummy ke saath yeh sab thora sa samaan bi lene jaata tha and then Pagree, Dastar lene bhi, Daal Moth Khaane bhi aur Chole Bhature khaane bhi.

16-17 years ka hounga, and I saw myself frequenting the market more on my Cycle. Bas nikal jaata tha, dekh dakh ke, ghoom shoom ke, Dil mein kuch sapne lekar wapas aajaata tha.

Barre hokar yeh loonga, woh bhi loonga sochta rehta tha

One thing I wanted was a Good SWATCH ki Watch. It was a HUGE Wristwatch in vibrant colours. The watch was made of plastic with no sharp edges and was lightweight.

The watch could be fixed in a cavity connected with a strap, and you would be ready to move around. One watch and five Straps would make you feel that you are wearing a different watch every day of the week.

Par watch 1500 ki thi. Costly by our Standards.

Kabhi le nahi paaya par mann bahut tha.

For the last 3 years, whenever I’m in any Mall or country, I have always stopped at a Swatch Store and seen ki kuch mere liye ya meri daughter Gurbani ke liye mil jaaye. 
Par nahi, They don’t make good stuff anymore. (At least not for me)

Maine India ke stores to dekhe hi, 2022 in Interlaken, Switzerland mein bhi Swatch store par gaya, Last year 2024 mein Barcelona mein bhi dekha and abhi last month New york mein bhi. Same design. Nothing that tempted me to buy one.

And pata hai, Buy karke just Dil ko sukoon dena tha jo mujhe bachpan mein chahiye tha, mujhe nahi mila, I want ki my kids have it and Mujhe ek tareeke ka sukoon milega.

I know its Placebo, Khud ko dhokha de raha hu. Par kabhi kabhi agar aise sukoon mile to accha hai.

Kal bhi I was walking through DLF Mall Saket,

and jab Swatch ka showroom aaya tab I thought to pen down my thoughts and also promise myself ki, Gurbani ko zabardasti ek Watch le dunga, irrespective of whether she likes or not. Par mujhe to zaroor sukoon milega

2.Prioritise your Happiness

Hum 80% woh cheezein karte hai jo humko Samaaj sikhata hai aur batata hai and sometimes force karta hai karne ke liye.

We have been fed with information ki yeh aise hota hai and woh waise hi hota hai.

And hum bhi aankhein bandh karke usko bas follow karte rehte hai. Humko lagta hai ki barre-buzurg, Humare teachers, Humare Seniors jo kehte hai bas wohi sahi hai.

Also darr bhi hota hai ki humne agar woh nahi kiya jo unhone bola ya samaj ne set kiya hai then woh Bura maan jayenge.

Par nahi jee, Aisa kuch nahi hai.

My Jhaiji used to say “Bhagwaan ne Do Kaano ke beech mein dimaag diya hai, ek se daalo, Beech mein dimaag mein process karo, Jo kaam ka hai rakho and baaki bahar nikalo”

Jee yes, Jo bhi sunte ho, Usse ek baar socho ki mein yeh kyu kar rha hu. Does it resonate with me? Does it make me happy? Does it make someone I love delighted and at the same time not compromise on my happiness? If yes, then do it. Par if you do something sirf for making someone else happy, then aap khush nahi rahoge and then shayad jisko aap khush karne ke liye qurbani de rahe ho woh bhi khush nahi rahega.

So, Jo karo khud ki khushi ke liye karo, Apna dimaag use karke karo. Dhyan rakhna ki You are not under the influence of the below-mentioned things.

3.Pain-Killers sell more than Vitamins

Scenario – 1

Imagine karo aap kisi Party mein ho. You meet your Mama jee, jo Doctor hai. He shakes hand, Sees your hand, Sees the White Spots on your nails, and advises you to take XYZ Vitamin

Aap kya karoge? Party karoge, Ghar jaoge, Agle din yaad hoga par busy ho jaoge and 50% Chances hain ki 3 days mein bhool jaoge.

Scenario -2.

Imagine karo, aap ek party par ho and while climbing down the steps of the party hall, your heel breaks, and aapka Pair murr jaaye and aapko dard ho rahi hai.

You will go to the Nearest Chemist or Go Home and Buy/Take out an Iodex etc, and pair par lagaoge and Crepe Bandage baandhoge and araam karoge.

Simply Said, “Kyuki Jidhar Dard hai udhar,” you will focus on the Painkillers and buy them immediately, even if you have to walk extra or even if you have to pay extra for them.

Bas yehi kehna chahta hu ki, Painkillers, Sell more than Vitamin.

Aaj kal ki duniya mein, try becoming a Painkiller for someone through your Products, Services, Connections, and Support.

Aajkal Vitamin ki ehmiyat kam hai. We all live in a World where we seek Instant gratification.

Painkiller is Instant Gratification. If someone has to spend money, pehle woh Painkiller par kharchega and then Vitamin par. Yes, Dono Important hai, par aap Samajh rahe hai na matlab.

Now, talk to your customers, team, parents, children, and friends and ask them ki unko PAIN kidhar hai. You will be amazed to know the reasons and even more amazed ki unme se 50% ka Solution hai aapke paas, or in case of Business, you can get Upskilled/Pivot and do the needful.

Jo problem ek ko hai, woh 100 Aur ko bhi ho sakti hai.
