Yell…. Matlab Shor machana.. Cheekhna Chillana. Hai na?
And when I was invited to Cafe Yell that is what I expected. Sach kahu shor sharabba pasand nahi hai mujhe….. Par I was told this restaurateur owns the Marwari Food Eatery Kathputli in Defence Colony too and since I love that concept and it’s execution, I knew I have to go there.
So shaam ko 5 baje I reached there. Got mast parking just opposite to the Cafe and while I was entering the cafe I saw YELL likha hua at the stairs leading to a Huge Garments shop in the basement, idea to lag gaya tha ki yeh naam yahaan se aaya hai.
And when I opened the door to the cafe I was pleasantly surprised to enter a colourful Cafe that was well lit and soft music playing in the background.
As Entered this 28 seater cafe it seems, every seat is welcoming me to sit on it… Kuch apna pan sa tha wahaan, and my heart told me ki yahaan ka khana bhi accha hoga.
I took a seat just next to the counter that had Desserts temptingly looking at me and vice versa 🙂
The menu was short and crisp with Categories such as Salad, Let’s Start, Burgers, Pizzas,Big Bite, Risotto and all dishes very well prized too.
I’m not much of a nachos fan but I know many of my readers love it so I had to order them so that I could write ki kaise hai. I ordered for Cheese Nachos (Rs. 129)
Also, I ordered for a Silky Chocolate Shake (Rs. 189) and Bar be Que Wings (Rs 199) (Ab to aapko pata hi lag gaya hoga ki I love Wings, jaise marzi khila do) 🙂
Abhi gappe maarni shuru h kit hi ki Nachos were on our table. One bite and I knew they have done their home work well. Best part was ki they were warm when served and I liked it that way. At 129 Rs a plate this is must order.
Then came my chicken wings… I knew Rs 199 hai to portion size kam hoga and there were 3 pieces of succulent Chicken wings in Bar be Que Sauce staring at me. I took a bite and they were good. I’m a fan of small bites because it helps the diner to try more dishes rather than stuff with one and cafe yell has many choices in the menu.
We were told that their pizzas were amazing… Ab meri iccha to nahi thi par there was this Fishy Fish Pizza (Rs 300) that came in the shape of a Fish so thought why not. And you know what…. This was a Veg Pizza.
In all my reviews I do order one basic dish and one dish that is tough to make. This helps me broadly on how the other food preparations may be.
And Risotto is one dish that not many people can get it right. So we ordered for the Pollo Lucca Chicken Risotto.
Pizza aaya…. Dekhne mein unique tha…. par sach kahu Veg tha isliye shayad I did not relish much, but my friend who was a vegetarian loved it thoroughly and I know Youngsters age 25 tak shall love this Pizza….. so would my kids.
And then after 2 minutes the Risotto platter was kept on our table and the aroma of Cream, Cheese and Butter filled the entire space.
I knew yeh accha hoga and aisa hi hua. Full marks to the Chef for this amazing dish and I wiped the last drop of cheese too from the plate.
Meanwhile the Young Owner Vipul Gupta joined us on the table and he spoke passionately about his projects and I could see how involved he is into every aspect the restaurant.
We spoke about his Entrepreneurial venture YELL in the basement which he is running successfully for the past 18 years and how all his initial customers are his Friends now and we also talked about how he travelled to Udaipur to fetch the right Colour of marble that he wanted for his other restaurant Kathputli and how he was involved in Menu and interiors of Cafe Yell.
Pata hai.. Cafe yell ke andar baithkar aisa lagta hai that you are in a cafe that is located some where in Italy or France, ya fir UK. Ek apni alag chotti si duniya hai Cafe Yell.
And gappe maarte hue I ordered for the Yell Cookie Blast jis par meri usi time nazar parr gayi thi when I glanced on the dessert display and then again on the menu.
Believe me it can satisfy the sweet yearning for 2 people. Yell Cookie Blast was huge and very very tasty. I will not go into the details ki uske andar kya tha… You know I have never been. For me the final taste matters and this got 100% marks.
Now I’m glad to have a place in South Delhi where I can have my meetings with South Delhi people…. Shaant Jagah,tasty khana…. Jeb par halka. No parking issue and just 2 mins drive way from Ring Road.
Arre Haan… Forgot to tell you…. Their Service Staff was well informed about the product and were very gentle.
