1. Dont be a Promise Breaker
Baat 2008 ki hai.
Maine Bisleri ke West Delhi ke liye agency li thi. Naukri abhi chordi thi, Thora paise ek business ke liye rakh liya and thora paisa isme daal diya.
The business picked up, and I realised I was working on capital, aur daalna padega so that Maal aur payment ka flow accha chalta rahe.
Cheque to advance mein hi chale jaate the.
Ek Wednesday subah Rs. 40,000/- ka Cheque lagna tha. Tuesday raat ko realise kiya ki Bank mein paise nahi hai. Cash parra tha and subah 10 baje mai Paise deposit karne chala gaya.
Pata chala ki already ek cheque present ho chuka hai, but it has been rejected because of insufficient funds.
I called my Relationship manager. He was a friend, too. Usko bola Bhai Accounts ko bata dena ki cheque bounce ho gaya hai and mai next week ki clearing mein Double Cheque de dunga.
Came back,papa ko bataya.
Papa Gussa hue. He said, Call them back and ask ki aaj hum Cash jama kar de ya Draft.
I said Papa chinta na karo, Baat ho gayi hai.
He Refused, Papa ne bola “Beta izzat banane mein saalo lag jaate hai, Tootne mein ek minute”
Promise break karna means Apne aap mein trust break karna.
Papa ki baat Suni, Samjhi. Call kiya and cash lekar chala gaya. Everyone at Bisleri was amazed ki aisa kabhi hua nahi. Log to bahane banate hai payment na karne ke. Aur yeh baat ki aaj bhi Bisleri ke head office mein misaal di jaati hai.
Papa ne mujhe yeh ek baat sikhayi. Tab hai aur aaj ka din hai. We have never delayed any payments, salaries, or payouts.
Izzat banane mein Saalo lag jaate hai, Gavane mein kuch minutes.
2. Moral Science Class mein mera Example
Baat 1995 ki hai. School Bus Route Number 2 tha mera.
Ek baccha Sanju mere se teen saal Junior tha, Same bus mein hi aata jaata tha.
Ek din School ke baad bacche ne bola, “Gurpreet Bhaiya aaj Kumar Ma’am ne aapka naam liya class mein”.
I was amazed
He continued, “Moral Science class mein”. I was amused.
Poocha kyu.
So baat kuch aisi thi ki I was Vice – Disciplnie Captain in Class 11th.
Ek Din Baarish kaafi ho rahi thi. School mein Extra Curricular kaam bhi kaafi tha and before I could reach, the School Bus left.
My Home was 5 KM’s away, and mood aaya ki chalo paidal hi chalte hai.
Sleeves Fold ki, Shirt Pant se bahar nikali and chal parra Bheegte hue.
Ghar pahuncha to mummy ne gussa kiya ki kapre to bheeg gaye, Joote bhi geele ho gaye hai.
Socha koi na, Sports shoes pehen lunga next day.
Wohi kiya. School mein Sports shoes allowed nahi the so as per rule, I got a letter signed from Mummy ki mujhe excuse kiya jaaye.
Ab School pahunch gaya. As per my Duty & Resposbibility as a Captain, I’m supposed to MONITOR all students during Assembly ki kahi koi baatein to nahi kar rha, Sabki Uniform in order hai ki nahi.
Par uss din mai apni Class ki Line mein kharra ho gaya.
Mrs. Kumar Aayi saw me in the line and shouted at me, “Gurpreet, why are you not doing your duty?” I replied, “Ma’am, I am not in Proper Uniform myself. So how can I Punish others who are not in Proper Uniform?”
And yeh bolte bolte apni White Shirt ki Pocket se application nikal ke dikha di. She smiled and moved on.
Ab Hua yeh ki Ma’am Remembered this, and Apni Moral Science classes mei she used to give my Example to students ki Be Sincere to yourself and apna Character itna strong rakho that no one can ever point the finger at you.
Love what You do, not what you think others will love.
