Too much have been said about Number Plates in the last 15 days.
The Joke went around that “Your number plate is the new cleavage ! Everyone is checking it out!” 🙂
Number plates have always caught my attention, however now in Delhi we have a rule of a Standard, No Frills Number plate and they have since then become uninteresting.
However, this Odd Even issue did make me dive into my various albums and fetch out some interesting number plates I have clicked over the years.
CD Number on a Scooter
All of us have seen these CD number plates where CD stands for corps diplomatique and are on Blue base. These number plates can only be used by Foreign Embassies. And most of the times we have ONLY seen very flashy cars with CD number plates. However, when I saw the same number plate on a Scooter, it caught my attention. And ever since that day have never seen another one like this 🙂
Cheesy Slogan
Sticking to 2 wheelers, this one was shot at Mayapuri chowk and is really cheesy for what it says. “I can’t taste my lips, Could you do it for me:-)
Fishy Number Plate
While walking inside the Machuwara (Fisherman’s) Basti just 2 00 meters away from the Inconic Gateway of India I saw this number plate in the shape of fish. The owner is a fisherman and he carries his identity everywhere he goes.
Co-incidentally, many of my Car Number plate shots have been clicked while travelling in Punjab.
69
Like the one here. Chandigarh number 69. I treasured this pic for long. If this brings a smile to your face then the next one shall bring 3 Smiles.
696969
3 years later coming back from kasauli, I saw this Toyota Innova. He had 69 in his number plate, not once but thrice. 🙂
Seems he has only one thing on his Mind. VAT69 Whisky.
Oh…. What did you think of? 😉
Hindi Style
This one was clicked in Mumbai for the way it was written in. Though it is not 69 but does not look very different from 6969 in some different order 🙂
Be a Punjabi- No Number plate 🙂
4 years back, when I was travelling to Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, I also noticed a Jeep without a number plate. The only plate identity it had was of the owner’s surname. Sadly, it was raining then & a clear photo could not be clicked.
CHOIR or CHOR?
Now this one was taken near Karnal of a Royal Enfield. Seeing it, I casually remarked to my Driver ki I na hota to iske picche CHOR likha hota and the same moment I realized ki still it makes sense as CHOIR 🙂

All these Pics are part of my album Possibilities where more than 150 such interesting self clicked pics have been shared.
Recently, I went o Kashmir and noticed some interesting number plates there too. Shall share them on this blog www.MisterTikku.com
If you liked any image, then please feel free to share it with your friends and make them smile 🙂

Tikku ji on the CD plates. The runners or despatch riders since they runn diplomatic errands and being employed BT the foreign diplomatic missions move around the municipal limits unhindered. Hence their 2/3 wheelers have CD reign.number plates. There are many French diplomats who move around on Bullet 2 wheelers & hence they too have the blue (CD) number plates. My professional association of four decades with over 60 diplomatic missions permits me to share this info with you 🙂
