It’s always an Honour to enter an Embassy.
Obviously one reason is that these Embassies are located in Lutyens Delhi and the buildings have been made decades ago and most of them are still as they were many years back.
Like this one we went to, last week
Embassy of Turkey
This building was the Residence of Baba Sahab Ambedkar for a long time.
The reason to visit the Embassy of Turkiye was special.
We were invited by The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye – His Excellency Mr Firat Sunel.
This year the “Turkish Cuisine Week” was dedicated to the Turkish City of Hayat.
Hayat was most affected by the Earthquake that shook the Republic of Turkiye in Feb this year.
The food on offer was also primarily the one that hailed from the city.
From Bibleri Ekmek to Kisir and from Tepsi Kebap to the Pumpkin Dessert.
Every Bite was a delight.
Loved the Monogrammed Crockery of the embassy.
This was just a small, very small glimpse of Turkish cuisine but it already makes me plan my Turkiye Trip earlier than I had prepared for.
