There are some restaurants you want to give 5/5 even before visiting.
Olive was one such place for me. 🙂
Have always held it in high esteem for the aura it had created.
I really do not know why I have not visited it earlier. Was it the Exclusive Image it has or was it its High prices that have deterred me.
Anyways, This sunday kids wanted to go to the place they Love, “Soda Bottle Opener Wala”
They have been to Khan market Outlet a few times and knowing well that khan market is witnessing some closures because of a Sealing Drive, We preferred to head towards Cyber Hub, Gurugram’s Outlet.
Now Winter’s Lunches are better when you have it outdoor seating than indoors. However, SBOW had its Open seating full hence the other option was Olive.
Now with Gourmet Passport with me that shall get me a One Plus One offer on main Course I was more confident of visiting Olive Bistro.
There were a few empty tables and we took one for four.
Now let me add, Nothing was Bad, But nothing had the WOW factor that Olive is known for.
The Servers took Wrong order and instead of a Chicken pasta, got a Veg one. Instead of a White Sauce, they got a Red one. (Using the colours for easy understanding for all).
The Bread Basket was Dirty. It was wooden and to give it the antique look it had many uneven surfaces and a small effort with my finger made my finger dirty.
The Pizza was ordinary. And we had to request thrice for Ketchup and Mustard Sauce. After 3 Requests we got the Ketchup, but Mustard Sauce required one more Pleading.
Now I’m assuming that a garlic bread slice is standard accompaniment with all pastas and when our came, It was without one.
When asked if they do serve Garlic bread with pastas, The server went away without replying and in a few seconds came back with a plate. Now I’m wondering did he leave it in the kitchen or he gave me a portion Complimentary on my request.
One good thing was the chicken Sizzler, The preparation amazing, just that the Sizzle was not there.
Now believe me I have some Super Great Experiences at Smoke House, Cafe Delhi Heights, Chilli’s, Big Chill, Diggin and I always rated Olive to be right up there, much above all these.
Sadly, the situation has changed. Kaash Soda Bottle Opener Wala par hi jagah mil jaati bahar 🙁
