Sundays are meant to be lazy but the Sunday brunches are always fun!
Last Sunday, 1st of July we decided to make our boring lazy weekend a little happening with a Prunch ( Punjabi brunch) event at Ikk Panjab!
Ikk Panjab is a newly opened restaurant in Rajouri Garden which is bound to take you to the land of undivided Panjab. We all know Punjab for its famous cuisine, Punjabi language, Punjabi dance, Punjabi culture and lots more. But what we don’t know is how ‘Panjab’ became ‘Punjab’!

We were blessed to be enlightened by the unexplored facts of Punjab from our very own encyclopedia Mr. Vikramjeet Singh Rooprai. He is also known as the founder of India’s largest Heritage-Hobby club.
We were awestruck by his knowledge and are falling short of words for his praise.
That’s not it, the main highlight of event was Biji, hamari sabki favorite Dadi Kamlesh Gill from the movie Vicky Donor. She has done a number of films and is a popular TV actress. Even at such an old age she was full of enthusiasm, enjoying every bit of the event and like a typical Punjabi Dadi.
She even shared some of the stories from her childhood in Punjab, sang a rustic Punjabi folk for everyone and made the event brighten up just by her presence.
The way we say it in Punjabi- “chaar chand laga diye”.
After all the talking and chit chatting we had some delicious snacks and mouth watering food.

The food was finger licking good and gave us that total Punjabi vibe, all thanks to Mr. Rajan Seth.
Everyone was dressed up in typical Punjabi outfits as per the theme – Salwar Kameez and Kurta Pajama. We also made every girl wear a colorful Parandi to add more charm to their outfits.
**We had special gift hampers for every couple from Sattviko and 5 special prizes from 1469 original.

We launched our web-store having a range of products from T-shirts, badges, metal stickers and coasters to posters.
The graphics are fun and portray our love for Pizza, Burger, Coffee and Chai.
And like it is said we should always keep our loved ones close to us, always.
