I have been a Non Drinker most of my life. Not that I avoided alcohol because of some religious or other issues. It was just that I have never loved the taste of Beer / Whisky. It was only Whisky or Beer that I have tried many a times till then.
However, it was 10 years back at a Friend’s home in Kirti Nagar that I tried Smirnoff Vodka for the first time.
Tried it with Orange Juice and then with ThumsUp and loved every sip. That was the moment Smirnoff Vodka became an Integral part of my life.
Off Late I have been trying to do some mixing from my end. In some I succeeded & in some not!
However, one thing was sure that I liked mixing flavours liked Apple, Cranberry, Cinnamon, Espresso more than the citrus ones like orange or Lemon.
However, this Saturday I was lucky to be part of a Event by Smirnoff where not only were we introduced to the taste of some new cocktails created by Smirnoff but were also taught on how to make them.
Saturday/ 23 July 2016 /Ambience Mall.
All this started with the movie Star Trek @ PVR Director’s Cut. The show was part of the entire experience and was a hint of the awesomeness that lay ahead for us.
The experience at PVR Directors cut was beyond exemplary.
The movie was great however after a while I started craving for it to end so that we could move to Chillies for part 2 of the day that involved the workshop. 🙂
The workshop was conducted by Hemant Mundkur, Brand Ambassador for DIAGEO brands.
We got to know that they have created 5 Cocktails based on the Star trek theme and we would first make them and then relish them too.
When Hemant Bhai asked for Volunteers I jumped from my seat and got to make the Spock Cocktail that involved mixing Apple Juice, Grape Juice, Sweet Syrup and Smirnoff Vodka with lots of Ice. And in 1 minute a super Cocktail was ready. I need to admit I had 3 of them. Just loved the fruity flavours mixed with Vodka.
Also sharing the way to make The SpockTail and then the other 4 drinks that we made. Each one of them left us asking for more.
After the session in a private chat Hemant Bhai told me that one should try getting the Espresso Smirnoff and mixing it with coke. “The combination is super awesome” So will get one today.
Also, waiting for a House party where I can display my newly learned skills with Smirnoff
Oh by the way did I mention about the Tshirt I wore. I wrote this, got it designed, got it printed and wore on the day. Bas Tight thi thori 🙂 🙂
In Delhi the cocktails are available at Hard Rock Café (Saket), AM PM Café, Out of the Box, Raasta, Walking Street by Soi7 among others during July.
