What is “Krishna’s Butter Ball” in Mahabalipuram?

Mahabalipuram is a treasure Trove of sorts. So much stories in one place that you would want to stay there for another day to absorb all that was experienced.

One such is this Big Boulder called “Butter Ball”. Its a huge Boulder and looks that it would roll down any second.

However that is not he case. Also it has not relation to Lord Krishna.

Makesh BalaSubramani explains it all on his answer on QUORA.

“”There is neither a mystery nor a legend lies behind the Krishna butter ball in Mahabalipuram.

It is nothing but a huge boulder resembling a butter ball standing on a slope of rock with no support. Science behind its stability is due to the center of gravity falling within the base of the boulder.
