A date with Usha OTG & Chef Vikas Khanna. Both needs no introduction
All eyes sparkle when you see the young and vibrant Master Chef Vikas Khanna cooking live in front you. Today was such a day at the Delhi Golf Club where Chef Vikas was there to cook with the new range of OTGs by USHA.
These new OTGs have convection technology and controlled temperature for ideal cooking. It is for busy moms who love to bake for her kids and it also encourages people to bake more in India which leads to healthier lifestyle. The accessories that come along with the OTGs make it simpler for beginners at baking.
With a lively interactive session, the Chef was preparing a succulent smoked fish in oats with pineapple sauce in the USHA OTG of course, which I never got to taste, it felt as if “hath aya par muh na lga”. Along with this he shared his kitchen secrets useful for daily basis cooking.
Apart from the food you could sense the passion he had for his hometown (Amritsar), Punjabi language and of course his childhood with his mother. Above all this, his humbleness is something you would not find in a Chef who has been awarded with a Michelin Star for the sixth time! He comes across as a guy next door with a great sense of humour. Only a person who has started from rock bottom and now at the top is able to attain these characteristics.
We have attended many events in Hotels, Banquets, Corporate offices, but this one set amidst Lush green lawns of Delhi Golf Club was unlike any other experience 🙂
All in all it was a great event and have to say the features of USHA OTG Dil le gaya. We are looking for one and most probably, this shall be our choice. 🙂
